Endocannabinoid System and CBD

Updated: May 24, 2021

The Endocannabinoid System is pretty much everywhere. CBD is a plant based endocannabinoid called a phytocannabinoid. The plant based cannabinoid interacts with the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS) the same way as the cannbinoids your body naturally produces. The receptors in the ECS which CBD interacts with are the CB1 and CB2 receptors.

CBD works with all these Endocannabinoid receptors The endocannabinoid system (ECS) receptors are everywhere and help regulate homeostasis across all major body systems ensuring they work well with one another. ECS helps fine-tune most physiological functions. Everything from sleep, appetite, pain, inflammation, memory, mood, and even reproduction. CBD helps the body maintain a perfect homeostasis by interacting with the ECS receptors. If you look at all the Endocannabinoid receptors CBD works with … CBD might be important.

Thats the short explanation of the ECS and how CBD contributes to the body’s homeostatis. For more detailed check out some the articles we found online on CBD and Endocannabinoid System.
